New Fall Cocktails at Quality Meats Miami Beach

If you are one of the many Quality Meats fans mourning the departure of their fabulous Miami Spice menu, and are looking for an excuse to go back, I've got good news for you: they have just launched a new fall inspired cocktail menu, and it's divine!

Last week, I was invited to a little sneak peek of the new drink menu courtesy of  Beverage Director Bryan Schneider, who came all the way from the original Quality Meats in NY to introduce some lucky foodies (or drunkies?) to his new autumn libations.

Cubed, Tropical, Tap, or Classic are the cocktail categories that we got to pick from, all perfectly-balanced and made with freshly squeezed fruit juices, herbs,  top-shelf spirits and locally sourced organic produce.

Things got started with the Pisco Punch, from the Classics, made with Pisco, spiced pineapple liqueur, lemon juice, and topped with some fresh pineapple. According to Schneider, this drink comes by way of San Francisco, as it's inspired from a version that was very popular in that city in the 1800's!

Up next, came the Cuba Libre, from the Tap section. This was a classic Cuba Libre (basically, rum & Coke), but made with Quality Meat's homemade cola and served on tap from the beer tower! How cool is that? The cola is made with a proprietary blend of spices, which gives it a nice kick and tasted (in my opinion) just like the Holidays. Delish!

By now, I was already a little bit on the tipsy side, and totally unaware that my favorite drink of the night would be coming next: the Pomegranate Daiquiri. This came as a surprise as I don't usually go for these kinds of uber-girly drinks, but this particular one was special as it was topped with a seasonal, spicy (and yes, pink) pomegranate foam, that gave this familiar drink a whole new texture. And yes, getting a pink mustache is inevitable here, so just go for it and lick all the deliciousness off with your tongue!

And last but not least, the most beautiful drink of the night made it's way to our table: the Rubic's Cubes. This simple spritz is made with prosecco, elderflower and vodka, and it's served over different colored flavored ice cubes. The cubes, which change color as soon as they enter in contact with the spritz, are flavored with mango, raspberry, lime and orange. Pro tip: take a before and after spritz photo of the cubes, and post them side by side on your Instagram for some colorful drink-porn.

Quality Meats is located at 1501 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, and their fall cocktail menu has been available since October 26.
