Top 3 Hottest Pizza Places to Try Now in Miami

These days, picking a pizza place in Miami is like picking Tinder date for a Friday night. With so many new options popping up everywhere, it is hard to make a decision without experiencing some serious FOMO. Up next, I've narrowed it down to the top three hottest pizza places you must try right now. Some are new, some have been around for a while longer. But they are all damn good!

Formerly known as Babbo Cafe, this little cafe offers authentic Neapolitan style pizza from their wood burning oven, made by a real pizzaiolo from Naples. Stop by on a Tuesday during lunch to see this place buzzing with locals, and to enjoy their famous taco pizza, made with focaccia, ricotta, lettuce, guacamole and a choice of meat. Another thing that you don't want to miss here: the homemade tiramisu. It's like a dream come true in your mouth!

The Rucculosa - the owner's favorite pie, made with arugula, prosciutto, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella
This tiny restaurant located in an office building just half a block off Lincoln Road is the ultimate definition of a hidden gem. In fact, it is so hidden that if you haven't been there before, you'll probably miss it. But once you find it, trust me, you'll never forget it. Owned by an award-winning Italian pizza chef, Visa-01 has become known for its incredibly thin crust (arguably, the thinnest in Miami) as well as for its signature dish: the star shaped pizza. Order the Star Luca, a ricotta stuffed pie, topped with mozzarella, pepperoni and san marzano sauce.

Most people will agree that what makes or breaks a pizza is the crust. Think about it. Whether it's thick or thin, cheese-stuffed or hand-tossed, deep-dish or gourmet, a good crust is key. And there's a place in Miami that does it just right every time: Proof. This place's Neapolitan style pizza is thin in the middle and slightly thicker on the edges and, Despite the top notch ingredients, no matter what pizza type you order, the dough will always steal the show. This is because it's made with the highest quality Caputo 00 flour and cooked at 900 degrees in an enormous wood oven, which is key in making the pizza perfect.
